Routt County Military Tribute Banners Program
Honor your beloved family veterans.
American Legion Post #44 and VFW Post #4264 are proud to announce the 2022 Routt County Military Tribute Banners program honoring the world's greatest defenders of freedom, the men and women of the United States Armed Forces. Routt County residents are invited to honor their beloved veterans, active-duty, reserve, and National Guard members by sponsoring a beautiful 18” x 30” full color banner featuring a photo of the honoree, their name, service details, as well as the name of the sponsoring family. See the sample image to the left. Banners will be displayed along Lincoln Avenue in downtown Steamboat Springs in the weeks prior to and after Memorial Day and Veterans Day.
Residents of Routt County have answered the call to serve their country since the Civil War. These patriotic banners are a way to remember those who not only served in our Nation’s military, but came home to build the businesses and ranches that make our community a great place to live and raise families.
The cost to sponsor a banner is $100 and reservations will be first come, first served. Gold Star families will receive their banner at no cost. If you have a family member who is on active duty, is a reservist, or is a member of the National Guard and is a current or former resident of Routt County, say “Thank You” by sponsoring a banner. Orders can be submitted online through September 1st.
